Can Obama really be blamed if the European Debt Crisis drags the US economy back into Recession?

At this point, I don't think there's anything the GOP or the Democrats can do, since our economy's so intricately linked vis-a-vis globalization to Europe's.|||Well it was the U.S. that KNOWINGLY sold bad mortgages WORLDWIDE as "Grade A" paper. Deregulation, anyone?

As much as the GOP would love to blame Obama it was their own shortcomings that did us in. Even now their endless tax cut and small government scam is proving ineffective and worthless. Last year all the tax cuts and REBATES cost $1.9 trillion and unemployment is over 10%.

Let's break it down. Because of the bad economy and low tax revenue Federal, state and local government has been forced to layoff thousands if not hundreds of thousands of workers. That means hundreds of thousands less people to buy goods and services of any kind. On top of the millions already out of work. It also means Federal, state and local government will be buying less office supplies, less office equipment, less official cars just to name a few. With such low demand of course private enterprise won't hire anyone. Even now the Post office is talking about laying off 100,000 to 150,000 people. Adding to the huge number of unemployed. That's 150,000 less refrigerators, cars clothing etc that private enterprise can expect to sell. And that much less to import.

Giving tax cuts to business isn't going to help their sales at all. That's why the economy is sluggish and unemployment is so high. Taxes have to be raised.|||I read this bumper sticker that said 'Twenty years of GOP corruption and you blame Obama?'

lol

Their hatred is insane. Of course they'll try.

edit, liberals are...is a great example of that unreasonable hatred. A R pres. ran the country's economy into the ground and he suggests they be given the reigns to fix it. eye roll|||If the last couple years have taught us anything, it is that Obama can and will be blamed by Republicans for anything that voters don't like. Actual culpability, and even causation, are completely irrelevant - and apparently over the heads of most voters.|||He can be blamed for trying to reproduce the European debt crisis here.

His new stimulus program renamed "investment in infrastructure"would put us well on the way to being Greece.|||The bank use the EU almost as hard as they use the USA-

so you can't win until they work for the governments-

not the other way around like now.|||This is exactly right. the problems we are facing are systematic and began 30+ years ago. obama is just the scapegoat.|||Over in Europe, they're blaming the US debt crisis for dragging their economies back into recession. See how that works? Always blame someone else.|||Obama is a failure if he would just get out of the way and let private enterprise innovate on its own without fear of reprisal Obama would win in 2012 in a landslide

FACT|||If everything was Bush's fault, then everything now is Obama's fault.|||The rich are telling you and the government that borrowing and spending more beyond your ability to pay is the only way forward... Do you believe them?|||WHY NOT, HE BLAMED BUSH FOR EVERYTHING|||Clownservatives would claim Obama is boning Angela Merkel.|||That's why globalization sucks balls!|||Doesn't matter the head guy always gets the blame.

And he certainly wanted to be the head guy, didn't he?|||He blames, Bush, GOP and Tea Party for everything, so why not?|||Yes!|||Typical of MSLSD to blame someone else for our economy!|||Yes, he made us worse and that caused theirs. Peace
