Were Obama's remarks "arrogant" and or "absurd?"?

US President Obama has given the Europeans a harsh lecture on the dangers of their ongoing debt crisis. Offended by the unsolicited advice, Europeans have suggested the US get its own house in order first. Obama's remarks were "arrogant" and "absurd," German commentators say on Wednesday.

http://www.spiegel.de/international/worl…|||The fact that he is giving lectures to anyone is a joke and most of them realize it, regardless of the handy little disclaimer this member of the press added.|||In the two comments reported President Obama stated Europe hadn't’t “fully healed from the crisis back in 2007 and never fully dealt with all the challenges to their banking system. So they’re going through a financial crisis that is scaring the world,”

and

“Some of the challenges that we’ve had over the last several months actually have to do with the fact that, in Europe, we haven’t seen them deal with their banking system and their financial system as effectively as they needed to,”

As one European I would say that these comments were neither "arrogant" or "absurd" but an accurate factual description of the current economic situation in Europe.|||No, from your link:

"The problem, however, is that the US president is absolutely right. For far too long, the Europeans -- including the Germans -- treated the financial crisis as a purely American problem. They have still found no solution for their own debt crisis. Now Europe's problems are having a negative impact on growth and jobs around the world, including in the US.|||It is the situation which is absurd. But I don't hear Obama pointing out that by giving our power to create money to the bankers, (The Constitution says it belongs to Congress) we allow the bankers to not only control our economy and government but also to end up owning EVERYTHING.

I see that as kind of a problem. What's he going to do about it?|||Well to answer your question those two and many other words describe obama. I think what is going through his mind is that as a community organizer all he had to do was say something and it happened and now he is trying anything and nothing is happening.|||Before one can criticize another, one must have all their affairs in order.

Kind of like calling the Kettle Black (Sorry about that)

The American problem is that it has supported way too many governments for way too many years.|||Those 2 words apply to most anything he says. Not only is he lecturing here but now hes gonna go worldwide|||Obama is a stupid doofus. When he points his finger at anyone, three more are pointing at him.
