Why do Europeans always think that the Global Financial Crisis caused Greece to go bankrupt?

Yea, that played a big part in it. But ultimately Greece is bankrupt because they are corrupt and didn't cut their spending. I mean they were suppose to, but didn't. So I have no clue why all the Euros always blame it on the global financial crisis. Other countries managed not to go bankrupt, but they kept on partying over there like it was Disneyland.

The politicians there were telling their people years ago that other countries are not responsible for another country's debt and that they won't bail them out. That was pretty much what they agreed on. So how come now they are bailing them out if they were saying before that they wouldn't? I mean ultimately the richer countries give their people's money away to Greece. Who knows if other countries follow.

So why didn't they just kick them out? That would have been the easiest and cheapest way to get rid of the problem. If you are not consequential, it creates a moral hazard. And that is exactly what happened here. I really don't think they should pay and am surprised how uneducated Europeans are. They always act so smart on this forum, but meanwhile their governments are giving their money away.|||Why US public dept is rising?

Is this happening because Americans don't cut their spending or because they are corrupt?

(No of course. So this is not the real reason for the Greece's troubles)

Greece is just in danger but I don't think Greece will go bankrupt because government has already voted strict changes (more taxes and spending cuts to increase the revenue and the dept will start soon declining).

I live in a European country and as I heard the reason of bailing out Greece is not only to help Greece not to go bankrupt, but also by bailing out Greece we are saving our currency. The money that are given to Greece are borrowed and that's why Greece's parliament has voted such strict changes just to ensure the other countries that Greece can face the dept.|||Europeans always think that the GFC caused Greece to become bankrupt? Wow, how foolish of them!

Please be so kind as to provide a link to the survey you conducted, participated in by all of Europe, in which the Europeans claimed to always think that the GFC caused Greece to go bankrupt, and no other factors were involved.

----

You know, most European political commentators whose material I have read claim that a mixture of inefficient and excessive spending, plus the GFC caused Greece to go bankrupt, but hey what would I know? Your super-survey probably trumps that, right?|||Excuse you but I haven't even thought about it, what is with the generalisation?

Kick them out of what??? the EU???? cause a lot of EU countries are having major financial crises and the MEPs (members of European parliament) really don't want to lose member countries of the EU. My country is in the EU and I never even think about the EU, its just not a concern of mine tbh!
